The Blackburn Library in conjunction with Arteast is proud to present an exhibition of paintings in oils and pastel by Paul Vincent. Paul is interested in the interplay of the structured geometric Man with the unstructured forms of Nature. The show features works that reflect man's intervention in the landscape and contrasts the varied and random fractal character of nature with the rigid geometric forms of man's presence on earth.
This is a unique opportunity for the public to enjoy, encourage and support local artists in their community as well as engaging with the Blackburn Library.
Location: Blackburn Hamlet Library branch of the Ottawa Public Library, 199 Glenpark Dr. Ottawa K1B 5B8.
Hours: Mon. through Thurs. 10 – 8:30. Friday 1 – 6:00 and Sat. 10 – 5. Closed Sunday.
2. Changes in the Air at François Dupuis Recreation Centre

Arteast Ottawa and the François Dupuis Recreation Centre host a holiday exhibition of local art.
The public is invited to visit Arteast Ottawa’s latest art exhibition space at the François Dupuis Recreation Centre. This is the latest exhibit at the Centre, located at 2263 Portobello Boulevard, Ottawa, and includes works from four active volunteers within the Arteast membership.
The fine art from four fine artists. This time of year includes the widest gamut of colours for any artist to work with. Aline Joanis brings us the bright fall of leaves and birch trees. Doreen Hardiman takes us down to the individual leaf in mixed media. A downtown scene is captured and enhanced by Mary Ann Varley as we wait for the final leaves to fall. Marie Leger takes us out to the early fall at Mer Bleu on the boardwalk. Come see all the changes.
“Changes in the Air ” runs until January 15th at the François Dupuis Recreation Centre located at 2263 Portobello Boulevard in the Avalon area of Orleans. The centre is open seven days a week. All the artwork is for sale and any would make an excellent gift.

Œuvres de quatre artistes. C’est le temps de l’année aux multiples couleurs donc tellement agréable aux artistes. Aline Joanis apporte les couleurs lumineuses des feuilles et des bouleaux. Doreen Hardiman représente une feuille en technique mixte. Mary Ann Varley capture une scène d’automne du centre-ville. Marie Leger capte les couleurs au début de l’automne sur le sentier de Mer Bleue. Venez voir les changements.

3. Open Studio
Arteast's next Open Studio: Thursday, November 23, 2017
Open Studio days are the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month.
Time: 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
At St-Laurent Complex Centre, Visual Arts Studio 525 Côté Street ,Ottawa, ON, K1K 0Z8.
Open Studio provides opportunity for members to meet and work on their artworks in a casual setting.
Fee is $5.00/ per studio day.

4. Registration is Now Open for Mosaic
Call for Artwork for Arteast’s “Mosaic”
A juried exhibition to be presented in the Trinity gallery, Shenkman Arts Centre from February 8th, to March 13th, 2018.
Coming up in February 2018 is the next Arteast juried show. Arteast members are encouraged to submit their best two and three dimensional work to this annual exhibition. We are looking for insightful, creative, visual art in all media.
There is no theme for this show.
There is an entry fee of $10 for one artwork submitted or $15 for two artworks.
Entrants must be or will become members of Arteast.
Pre–registration for this exhibition is required.
Registration opens Nov 20th and closes Dec 15th, 2017.

Une exposition-concours qui sera présentée à la galerie Trinity du Centre des Arts Shenkmandu 8 février au 13 mars 2018.
En février 2018 aura lieu la prochaine exposition-concours d’Arteast. Les membres d'Arteast sont encouragés à soumettre leurs meilleurs œuvres en deux et trois dimensions à cette exposition annuelle. Nous recherchons des arts visuel perspicace, créatif et créatif.
Il n'y a pas de thème pour cet exhibition.
Il y a des frais d'inscription de 10 $ pour une œuvre d'art ou de 15 $ pour deux œuvres d'art.
Les participants doivent être ou deviendront membres d'Arteast.
