2. Jill Berry - Exhibition of Paintings

St-Laurent Library, in conjunction with Arteast, is proud to present an exhibition of paintings by Ottawa artist Jill Berry. This solo show is titled Geometry in Nature and runs from March 31 to June 23, 2017.
This series of paintings is inspired by the relationship of geometry to nature. The natural world takes a subtle approach to geometry but lines and shapes are represented and repeated in rocks, land formations, trees, and clouds. The artist interprets these various forms in her five Twillingate Iceberg paintings and her painting of islands in Georgian Bay.

Jill has taken courses at the Ottawa School of Art and the Haliburton School of the Arts. She has been coached by Canadian landscape artist Gordon Harrison. Currently she paints primarily in oil. Jill's work has been shown at many venues in Eastern Ontario.

This is a unique opportunity for the public to enjoy, encourage and support artists in their local community as well as the St-Laurent Library.

Hours: Monday to Thursday: 10 - 8:30, Friday: 1:00 - 6:00, Saturday: 10:00- 5:00, Sunday: closed
