Arteast showcases the works of Maureen Rooney Mitchell, Josie De Meo, Dwain Sykes and Maryse Legault, in the latest Exhibition at the Francois Dupuis Recreation Centre.
The public is invited to view the latest exhibition of Arteast members entitled “Seasons in Transition”. The exhibition takes place from Monday, September 11, 2017, to Monday, November 13, 2017, at the Francois Dupuis Recreation Centre, 2263 Portobello Blvd., Ottawa, Ontario.
Arteast is proud to present the high quality works produced by its talented member artists. Inspired by nature, past experience, or history these artists, showcase immense of talent and quality in their work. The assorted artworks span over many subjects, styles and mediums.
Arteast is a highly active, not-for-profit visual arts organization serving Eastern Ontario. Membership in Arteast is open to artists, both amateur and professional, and all who enjoy and want to participate in the visual arts.

Les œuvres d'art en démonstration sont représentatives de la qualité du travail produit par les membres d’Arteast.
Arteast est une association très active, à but non lucratif, dans les arts visuels de l’est de l’Ontario. Elle offre à ses membres des activités enrichissantes permettant le développement d’aptitudes et d’intérêts artistiques, ainsi que la joie de participer à la croissance des arts visuels à Ottawa et dans la région.

Tax Issues For Artists
Presented by Jessie Parker,
author of Money Smarts for Visual Artists and
Tax Smarts for Artists
In this 3 hour seminar, Jessie will cover the most important tax issues for artists. There will be time for discussion of issues of importance to the artists attending. Her session will include
· The most critical tax issues for artists today
· Keeping good records: how and why
· How to DIY easily
· How to avoid being audited: your legal rights
· The artist’s estate: new Ontario rules and issues
Professional artist, writer, teacher, stock photographer and former financial planner, Jessie Parker has extensive experience dealing with accounting and tax matters that artists face.
As part of the cost, you will receive one of her books. Price is $60 including tax and the book. Bring a notebook for taking notes on whatever concerns you.

4. Appel aux artistes
La Galerie d’art Eugène-Racette du Mouvement d’implication francophone d’Orléans (MIFO) lance un appel ouvert aux artistes visuels francophones de la région de la capitale nationale (professionnels et semi-professionnels) pour des soumissions d’expositions pour la saison artistique 2018-2019. La Galerie a exposé les œuvres de près de 200 artistes francophones, régionaux et locaux, depuis son ouverture en 1985. Chaque année, la galerie monte 11 expositions (solo ou en groupe) de septembre à juillet.
DATE LIMITE DE SOUMISSION
1er décembre 2017

Peinture, dessin, collage, photographie, sculpture, textiles.

DANS VOTRE SOUMISSION
§ Votre déclaration d’artiste (maximum 250 mots; une seule déclaration dans le cas de soumissions de groupes).
§ Votre biographie (maximum 150 mots; pour les soumissions de groupes, une biographie est requise pour chaque artiste).
§ Votre curriculum vitae (pour les soumissions de groupes, le CV est requis pour chaque artiste).
§ Votre soumission doit être en format PDF.
§ Vos matériels de support :
§ De 6 à 10 images haute résolution de vos œuvres en format JPEG;
§ Inclure la liste de vos images avec les titres, les médiums, les dimensions et les prix (sans taxes) des œuvres;
§ À noter : les courriels de plus de 12MB ne seront pas considérés.
Les soumissions seront analysées par un comité de sélection. Les décisions du comité sont finales et sans appel. La Galerie d’art Eugène-Racette se réserve aussi le droit de refuser certaines œuvres si elle juge qu’elles sont choquantes ou inappropriées pour un jeune public.
